Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Overview
Ritely (“we”, “us”) is a dictation app that turns multilingual speech into polished English. This policy explains what data we collect, what we deliberately do not collect, and who we share data with.
What we collect
- Your email address and, optionally, your full name, when you create an account.
- Authentication data managed by our auth provider, Supabase (see below).
- Subscription and billing status (which plan you're on, not your card details).
- Download records (that you downloaded the Windows installer, and when).
- Aggregate dictation counts (how many dictations you made on a given day), used only to enforce plan limits and show usage in your dashboard.
What we do not store
- Raw audio. Audio you dictate is held in memory only for the duration of processing and is never written to disk on our servers or on your device.
- Transcripts. We do not log the text of your dictations, before or after polishing, beyond what's required in-flight to generate the result.
Third-party processors
We rely on a small number of processors to run Ritely:
- Supabase— authentication and database hosting. Your account email, name, and plan status live in Supabase's infrastructure, protected by row-level security so only you can read your own data.
- Google Gemini API— language processing that turns your speech into polished English. Audio is sent to this API for processing only and is not stored by us afterward.
- Razorpay— payment processing for Pro subscriptions, once available. Razorpay handles your payment details directly; we never see or store your card information.
Cookies
We use a single first-party, HttpOnly authentication cookie (set by Supabase) to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run any analytics scripts.
Data retention and deletion
Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and associated data, email us at privacy@ritelyapp.com and we'll process the request promptly.
Children's privacy
Ritely is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
